Mother's Day Quotes II
Years ago a local mall
asked school children to write about their Mothers. Below are some of the things
they wrote. We hope you're able to read them with a smile.
A group of 2nd to 5th graders were asked to finish the sentence. My Mom is the
greatest because:
"She's respectable,
considerate, huggable and sooo loveable."
"She's my mom."
"She gives me root beer floats with a cherry on top."
"She gives me T. L. C."
"She is going to buy me a BW motorcycle and a helmet and goggles."
"She does awesome things for me: care for me when sick, drives me to school when
I miss he bus and cleans my clothes."
"When I am blue she plays with me and doesn't scream all the time."
"Everyone has someone they call mom. But my mom's the greatest because she's
different. Sure all mom's cook and clean but my mom's special. She's someone to
talk to when I am down. We play games and do millions of great things together.
My mom's the greatest."

pictures found an early picture of her mother holding her as a baby. She the
asked her father, "Is that when Mommy came to work for us?"
Another little girl wrote about her Mother: "When she is mad at me or angry with
my Dad or someone else and the telephone rings, she answers it with a nice voice
and talks nicely to the person who called, but when she hangs up, she is still
mad and upset with us."
Years ago there was a Mother's Day card that on the cover read: Mom, I remember
that little prayer you used to say for me every day. On the inside: God help you
if you ever do that again.
Another group of 1st to 3rd
graders were asked to fill out the following sentence. "I love my mother
because:
"She loves me and takes me to Hawaii."
"She loves and cares for my family."
"She tucks me in at night, plays basketball with me and gives me Easter candy."
"I am glad I have a mother because if I didn't I would not be living today."
"She cares about my messy room. She accepts me the way I am. She's proud because
I'm not like everyone else."
"She loves me and makes me feel special."
"I can trust her."
"She fixes cuts."
